Category: Comparisons
Compare Mo Dao Zu Shi chibi keychains and the acrylic keychain series to find the right everyday carry for your style, budget, and collection goals.
Quick Answer
Choose the chibi keychain if you want a cute, compact character focus; pick the acrylic keychain if you prefer a larger, more detailed display piece that still clips to your bag.
Size and Design Differences
The chibi keychains from the Cloud and Tea series measure about 70–80 mm, while the acrylic keychain series runs slightly taller at 80–86 mm. That extra height can make the acrylic version feel more like a mini stand than a simple accessory.
Chibi designs emphasize a cute, rounded look, while the acrylic keychain series offers multiple character options across Dreaming, Cloud, and Tea series, giving you more variety if you collect multiple characters.
Price and Value
The acrylic keychain is the most budget-friendly at USD 10.35, compared to the chibi Cloud series at USD 10.72 and the Tea series at USD 11.36. If you plan to buy several, the price difference adds up.
All three are priced below their catalog comparison prices, so you're getting a discount regardless of which you choose.
Durability and Everyday Use
Both types are made from durable acrylic, so they can handle daily bag attachment without much worry. The chibi keychains are slightly smaller, which might make them less obtrusive on a keyring, while the larger acrylic keychain could be more noticeable.
If you prefer a subtle accessory, the chibi size is easier to tuck away; if you want your fandom to stand out, the acrylic keychain's larger size works better.
Trade-Offs at a Glance
- Chibi Keychain (Cloud or Tea Series): Go for this if you want a cute, compact character focus. The smaller size (70–80 mm) keeps it subtle on bags or keys, and you get a specific character like Lan Wang Ji or Wei Wu Xian in a chibi style. Check which series (Cloud or Tea) matches your favorite character before buying.
- Acrylic Keychain (Multiple Series): Choose this if you prefer a larger (80–86 mm) design with more character options across Dreaming, Cloud, and Tea series. It's also the most affordable at USD 10.35, making it easier to collect several. If you want variety, the acrylic keychain series gives you more characters to choose from.
- Budget and Collection Goals: If you're buying just one, any option works. If you're planning a small collection, the acrylic keychain's lower price and multiple series make it the more economical pick. Compare the total cost if you plan to buy more than one keychain.
