Practical answers on displaying, dusting, and storing the Pikachu and Pichu figure set, plus what to check before you buy it for a Pokémon shelf.
Quick answer
Treat the Pokémon Pikachu and Pichu figure as a display collectible: keep it out of direct sun, dust it gently with a soft brush, and store it padded and upright if it leaves the shelf. It suits Pokémon fans who want both characters in one small set, not a toy for rough play.
What the set actually gives you
The catalog lists this as a two-character set: Pikachu and Pichu together in one display piece. That matters if you are building a Pokémon shelf around pairs or evolutions, because you get both characters without hunting for two separate figures. It is part of the Anime Figure Egg-Cellent collection, so it fits a broader anime figure shelf rather than a dedicated Pokémon-only display.
The listing does not specify scale, height, base type, or material. If any of those decide where the figure goes, ask before ordering rather than assuming it will match an existing lineup.
Why placement decides how long it stays clean
Dust and sunlight are the two slow threats to any displayed figure. A spot away from a window and off the floor collects less dust and avoids fading, and it also keeps the figure out of the path of pets and cleaning sprays. If you use a glass cabinet, leave a little air space around the pair so you can reach them with a brush without knocking them over.
The Pikachu and Pichu pairing is small enough to sit on a shelf edge or a riser, but the listing gives no base dimensions, so test the footprint on your shelf before you commit to a spot.
Display and care questions, answered
- Where should I put the Pikachu and Pichu figure?
- Choose a shelf away from direct sunlight, radiators, and high-traffic spots. A stable, level surface matters more than height; if the shelf wobbles, move the figure before it tips.
- How do I dust a Pikachu figure without scratching it?
- Use a clean, soft brush or a dry microfiber cloth and light strokes. Avoid paper towels, abrasive cloths, and spray cleaners applied directly to the figure; dust first, then wipe only if needed. Dust little and often rather than scrubbing a heavy buildup.
- Can I clean it with water or alcohol?
- The listing does not state the material or a cleaning method, so do not assume water or alcohol is safe. Start with dry dusting, and test any cleaner on an inconspicuous spot only if the packaging or seller confirms it is suitable.
- How should I store it if it comes off the shelf?
- Wrap Pikachu and Pichu separately in acid-free tissue or soft cloth, pad the space around them, and store the set upright in a rigid box. Keep the box in a dry, temperature-stable place rather than a damp basement or attic.
- Is it a toy for children to play with?
- The catalog describes it as an action figure collectible in a display-focused collection, not a play-tested toy. If a child will handle it, supervise and keep small parts away from very young children.
- Should I keep the packaging?
- Keep the box and any inserts if you might resell, move, or store the set later; original packaging is the easiest padding you will find. If space is tight, flatten and store the box rather than discarding it.
